  Lovely place to eat and drink, great atmosphere, friendly staff, locals and guests. Usual beers with only 3 (but nice) ales to choose from. Lovely steak and ale pie and 8oz steaks. Dessert selection is not so great but it is a pub at the end of the day and the price reflects that. Dogs are welcome and when I was there well behaved and didn't smell of dogs or see any hair at all.

  Dragon burger highly recommend, meat is premium quality and chips are really good. Wish they'd put more on the plate.

  Extremely disappointing experience in this pub last night. Called in around 7.25pm for a bite to eat & advised barmaid accordingly. No free table but one became available at 7.35. Barmaid cleared table & advised that we would need to place our order by 8pm. My husband went to the bar at 7.45 to order...had to wait as a couple who came in after us were ordering their food. When my husband tried to place an order at 7.50 he was told that the kitchen was not taking any further orders............unbelievably poor level of customer service

  Very strange policy at the bar. If you ask them to open a bill, so you can pay in the end of the dinner once, they ask you to leave your credit card at a till as a pledge.
  
  Direct violation of banking rules.
  
  And I wonder how many people from the staff copy the numbers from my card to buy something online after I leave this place.
  
  I wonder if management is aware of this policy?!!!
